About

Hi, I'm Nicole!

I am The Holy Hippie.

I married my high school bad-boy in August of 2011 and am loving the married life! I seek adventure in the great-wide-somewhere, enjoy times spent with close family and friends, love all things vintage, and plan to live life to the fullest while I still have life to live.

I started this blog in hopes that it would inspire others from all walks of life to lead happier, healthier lives filled with faith in God, hope for the future, love for the present, and peace from their past. As a young soul, these are things I desire as well.

Growing up, I struggled with worthlessness. I could never find it in me to love myself nor could I accept love from others. My many scars from a broken childhood kept me from feeling anything but beautiful and the media didn't help either.

Recently I have realized that my past does not define me, but what I choose to do with my past does. I have learned that it is better to leave the past behind and move onward to better, brighter days; to look beyond the darkness and see the light; to love myself the way God does.

Through the help of my loving husband, supportive family, and my good friends I am learning that true love is unconditional. It doesn't rely on my skills, my bank account, my outer beauty, or my eloquent speech. Love just does no matter what.

My life is far from perfect, but I choose to find the inspiration in it anyway.

After all, life is what you make it.

I choose to make it a good one.

Peace.

    1. Awww, thank you so much Jevalene! It really is a rare thing that anyone marries their high school sweetheart, let alone get married at all. It appears to be a dying art. Thank you so much for your support!

  3. Peace comes from within. So many people look for it outside of themselves.....

    1. I agree. More people try to fill their lives with "things" rather than filling their lives with peace from the inside. For me, God is what has helped me find peace within. More people could benefit from that.
